COLUMBUS– Ohio Dominican University (ODU) has named Emily Riviello (45424) to its Spring Semester 2015 Dean’s List.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — On Saturday, May 9, University of the Cumberlands (UC) recognized 43 undergraduate students who were named Hutton Scholars during the annual commencement ceremony in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. Moriah Lawson of Dayton, was recognized as a Hutton Scholar.

The Hutton Leadership and Community Service Program is a four-phase program providing leadership training and community service opportunities for the UC students.

The requirement for graduation includes the complete of the UC insights program during the first semester of enrollment, the successful completion of the leadership seminar, and a minimum of 40 hours of community service following the seminar.

Students participating in the optional fourth phase of community service, performing a minimum of 200 hours of community service, are then named Hutton Scholars.

The class of 2015 contributed a total of 25,705 hours of service to their communities.

DAYTON — On Saturday, May 2, Kettering College conferred degrees and certificates on 239 students at the school’s 47th annual commencement ceremonies. The event was held at the Dayton Convention Center. Huber Heights recipients include Joshua Isabell, Associates, Respiratory Care and Tiffany O’Keeffe Koors, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Prelicensure. Dayton recipients include Jennifer Low, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Prelicensure, Jodi Frizell McHargue, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Completion and Kyra Tuey, Bachelor of Science, Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

FINDLAY — Nearly 800 students at The University of Findlay recently participated in the annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity. Held on campus, undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the University and community. Kali Dumpert of Huber Heights, participated in the Symposium.

FINDLAY — Daniel Hix, of Huber Heights, has graduated from The University of Findlay. Hix received a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Event Management.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. On Saturday, May 9, University of the Cumberlands (UC) conferred 815 degrees during their annual commencement ceremony; 227 Bachelor’s degrees, 540 Master’s degrees, and 18 Doctorate degrees. Moriah Lawson (Dayton) was graduated from UC and earned a BS degree in Human Services.

NORTH CANTON — Travis Hall, a resident of Huber Heights, was among the 717 Walsh University students who earned Dean’s List honors for the Spring 2015 semester.

OXFORD — Huber Heights resident Rhonda Rains Skare, a master’s student in the Global Field Program from Miami University’s Project Dragonfly, will travel to India in summer 2015. Rains Skare will study the stunning ecological, cultural and spiritual landscapes of the Western Ghats, where the fates of people, wildlife and deities meet in sacred groves and forest temples.

NEW CONCORD — Kelsey Edwards of Dayton graduated from Muskingum University on May 9 during commencement exercises held on the campus in New Concord, Ohio. Edwards earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and child and family studies.

CINCINNATI — The following students (45424) were named to the University of Cincinnati Dean’s list for spring 2014-15. GREENVILLE, S.C. — Sarah Bisson, a Senior Early Childhood Education major of Dayton, was among approximately 480 Bob Jones University students named to the Spring 2015 President’s List. This President’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher GPA.
