HUBER HEIGHTS — The Wayne boys varsity bowling team Jan. 26 scored an eight pin victory 2428 to 2420 against Beavercreek High School at Marian Lanes.
Brandon Beck led the team with games of 279 and 179 for a 458. Sean Martin II was next with games of 228 and 216 for a 444 series and Trevor Yost rolled games of 165 and 278 for a 443 series.
Jaemes Chouinard led Creek with games of 213 and 278 for a 491 series.
Wayne’s Baker Games scores were 203 and 173 and Beavercreek scored 227 and 190.
Junior Varsity boys fell to Beavercreek 1856 to 1716. Spencer Marksberry led Wayne with games of 169 and 148 for a 317 series. Next was Elijah Duggar with a 283 series. Kyran Cowen had a single game of 223.
The Varsity Girls also lost to Beavercreek by only 10 pins 2135 to 2125. Ryleigh Crouse rolled games of 225 and 189 for a 414 series while Shelbi Craft finished with a 352 series.
Brittany-Ann O’Connell led Beavercreek with games of 190 and 224 for a 414 series as well followed by Rachael Knight with a 177 and 210 for a 387 series.
Wayne scored 238 and 148 in Baker Games while Beavercreek scored 190 and 158.
Junior Varsity girls came up short as well with Beavercreek scoring 1938 to Wayne’s 1701. Jordan Zimmerick had a two game total of 314 and Morgan Colton had a 312 series.
During a Jan. 19 match against Centerville High School at Poelking South the Varsity Boys lost 2545 to 2325. Sean Martin II led Wayne with games of 234 and 213 for a 447 while Noah Kunkle rolled games of 206 and 208 for a 414 series.
Grant Halasz led the Elks with games of 238 and 222 to finish with 460 while Kyle Moyer rolled games of 224 and 225 for a 449 series.
Wayne scored 192 and 184 in Baker Games compared to the Elks scores of 276 and 183.
The JV Boys fell to the Elks 1826 to 1329. Hunter Weiss led the team with games of 164 and 157 for a 321 series.
The Varsity Girls fell to Centerville 2341 to 2190. Shelbi Craft was top scorer for Wayne with games of 247 and 225 for a 472 series.
Centerville was led by Megan Cook (438), Callie Watson (433) and Tacey Ballen (410).
Wayne scored identical 176 Baker Games while the Lady Elks scored 231 and 167.
The JV Girls also fell to Centerville 1610 to 1533. Leading the way was Morgan Colton with two games of 137 and 177 for a total of 314.
