If you happen to drive by any of our schools, you may notice quite a bit of activity occurring. That is because the 2015-2016 school year for students begins on Thursday, Aug. 13 and our staff is very busy preparing our schools and classrooms. Our staff members spend many hours making sure that everything is in tip-top shape for the first day of school. The floors are polished, the books in place, and student learning is our number one focus. Our district is committed to provide a learning environment that prepares our students for the future and that pledge begins even before students walk through our doors.
We anticipate the 2015-2016 school year will have a successful start and we ask for your patience as we navigate the changes that come with the beginning of any new school year. We are very appreciative of the support shown to our students and our school district by the Huber Heights community and we invite you to be an active participant in our schools this year. Our students learn best when they have the support of staff, parents, and the community.
While each new school year brings changes, one thing remains a constant and that is the dedication our staff has to providing all our students the very best education we can. We want to make certain that one day our graduates are prepared for success as adults and citizens. If you need school information, a good place to start is our website: The district’s website, www.huberheightscityschools.org, has both individual school and district information as well as contact numbers. Use the website to access school menus, district and school calendars, announcements, and other important information.
As always, if you have questions about our schools, please contact me at the Administrative Offices (237-6300) or through e-mail at Susan.Gunnell@huberheightscityschools.org.
