It takes many people to set the stage for education and on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, we thank the many individuals in the Huber Heights City Schools that work hard to make sure our schools are ready to meet the many needs of our students. November 18 is Educational Service Personnel (ESP) Day. Our ESP staff includes our district’s clerical, secretarial, paraprofessional employees and district messengers, the district’s maintenance and nutrition services staff, as well as the custodial and warehouse staff, and technology department.
The ESP staff provides many services to the students and families of the Huber Heights City Schools. The clerical and secretarial personnel, paraprofessionals, and district messengers provide friendly, efficient, support and assistance to our students, parents, administrators, and teachers. The district’s maintenance staff keeps up the appearance of our district’s buildings and facilities and makes sure everything is in good working order. Our nutrition services personnel consistently provide students with the best school lunch program in our area. The custodial staff make sure our students learn in clean, pleasant, orderly classrooms and the warehouse staff provide skilled, timely, and organized support to our schools. The technology department makes sure that the technology available to our students and staff operates effectively and supports student learning.
Many times, the work done by our ESP staff members is accomplished behind the scenes. This sometimes makes it difficult to truly appreciate all these individuals do for our schools and our students. On behalf of the Board of Education and myself, I want to thank our ESP staff members for all their hard work. I hope many of staff, parents, students, and community members will also take the time to say “thank you” to the educational service personnel of the Huber Heights City Schools.
