This past weekend we witnessed what was one of the greatest examples of having “The Heart of a Warrior” that I have experienced in my 18 years at our school district. We have had some amazing actions that have shown heart and determination to succeed. When you participate in a high level contest vs. a high level opponent like the one with Moeller and then add on 100-plus degrees on the field with the heat, a truly big heart was needed to succeed.
Anyone that was down at that game, either in the stands or on the field is able to share my thoughts on this. When we look back on that day and we wonder how our young people endured that heat, there is only one thing that comes to mind and that is “The Heart of a Warrior!”
Wow, after being in this for a long time, it still amazes me how we can learn from our young people, as much as they learn from us. How soon we forget that it does take great “heart” and passion to get things accomplished. This is true for academics or athletics. The bottom line, if your heart is in what you are doing, then there is a great chance that you will succeed.
Thank you to the football players, cheerleaders, band members and the Warriorettes for showing the country that we have a very special place here and that the place is because of the very special people with big hearts that make up that place. GO WARRIORS! Once a Warrior, Always a Warrrior…
There are so many examples of “The Heart of Warrior” and I am asking that if you know of or would be willing to share, then please e-mail me with your example so that we can show some of the other examples as well. We hope to have a great deal of e-mails. My e-mail is: firstname.lastname@example.org
