BROOKVILLE — Jeff Reichard, a 1976 graduate of Northmont Sr. High, owner of Reichard Buick GMC in downtown Dayton has expanded his car dealership empire with the recent purchase of Boose Chevrolet in Brookville.

On May 15 Jeff Reichard purchased the Boose dealership. Reichard has deep family ties to the Brookville area. His father Gene was born at a home on Arlington and Sweet Potato Ridge roads and his great-grandfather’s homestead was located at Westbrook and Dodson roads, so this is like a homecoming of sorts for the Reichard family.

Gene is president of Reichard Buick GMC while Jeff is the vice president and general manager.

Boose will remain a Chevrolet dealership and all of the current employees will be retained.

“We will take care of the customers just like the Boose family has for 70 years,” Reichard said. “We’re just going to try to grow the business a little bit by increasing the inventories and doing some synergy marketing with the Buick GMC store downtown.”

Reichard said he looked into taking on this expansion for several reasons.

“Chevrolet gives me a little bit of diversification from Buick and GMC, so if one is hot and the other is not, diversification helps there,” he stated. “I actually have two children that are in the business, son Rhett and daughter Paige, and after they have proven themselves her at the Buick GMC store, when I am ready to retire I’ve got someone to pass each store on to.”

Rhett Reichard is currently the used car manager at Reichard Buick GMC and Paige is the finance manager

“Frankly part of the exciting thing to me is just the proximity of Englewood to Brookville,” Reichard said. “The Interstate 70 and State Route 49 interchange is only five minutes from the Chevy dealership and only about 10 minutes from the Interstate 70 and State Route 48 interchange in Englewood, my old stomping grounds, so hopefully we can grow our presence in Englewood as well. That’s part of the plan.”

The expansion into Brookville should be well-received as the Reichard family is well-known for taking care of its customers’ needs by providing top-notch service during and after a car purchase. The staff at the Buick GMC dealership in downtown Dayton is friendly and courteous and because of that the Reichard family has developed a loyal customer base that comes back to the dealership for service and new car purchases. Many are lifelong customers, and that speaks volumes of the Reichard family’s long tradition of taking care of its customers’ needs.

It also reflects well on the company’s slogan of, “Get it Reichard the first time.”
