Christmas In July Garage Sale slated

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Senior Center will hold a “Christmas In July” Garage Sale with a bake sale and lunch on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Huge amount of Christmas items and miscellaneous treasures. The senior center is located at 6428 Chambersburg Road, one block east of State Route 201 (Brandt Pike). The sale will be held rain or shine.

Band and Warriorettes fundraiser

HUBER HEIGHTS — They are back — the driveway/cement Warrior Heads, that is! This is cut from the original stencil. The Wayne Marching Band and Warriorettes are actively fundraising for their Disney trip next March. With so many kids to get to Disney one of this year’s big fundraisers is the spray-painted Warrior Head on your driveway/cement at your business, the cost is $35.

The public response has been amazing and more orders are expected as the football season nears. To order your Warrior Head, please email Wayne Music Club at with your name, address and phone number and they will get you on their schedule.

RibFest is July 25-26

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights RibFest will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 26 at the Huber Center. Admission is $3. There will also be face painting, fun zone, balloon art, games and crafts. For information, visit

Tops in Blue coming to the Nutter Center

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio-The U.S. Air Force’s Tops in Blue is performing a free night of family entertainment in the Ervin J. Nutter Center at Wright State University on Tuesday, August 11 at 7 p.m.

This year, the team continues its long-standing tradition of “family entertaining family” and will showcase the music of well-known country and pop music artists.

“Tops in Blue is the Air Force’s premier entertainment showcase,” said Tom Edwards, show producer and chief of Air Force Entertainment. “The new 2015 team is a reflection of the ‘best of the best’ performers throughout the Air Force.”

Wayne Decade of the 70’s Reunion slated

HUBER HEIGHTS —The Wayne Class of 1975 is hosting a three-day party with the Wayne High School Decade of the 70’s Reunion on July 24-26. The Wayne Alumni Band will be performing Saturday evening at the Decade of the 70’s Reunion. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at the Rip Rap Roadhouse At The Flats at the corner of Fishburg and Rip Rap Road. Saturday, the event kicks off at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Rip Rap Roadhouse At The Flats. There will be two bands each night playing 70’s music and more and one band on Sunday. Vendors sought for Fall Bazaar

The Disciples’ Women Ministries of United Christian Church, located at 8611 Hoke Road in Clayton, is looking for vendors who would like to participate in the annual Fall Bazaar. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Table space is open to any form of hand crafted items, artistry, or product lines.

Northmont Class of 1975 to hold reunion

ENGLEWOOD — The Northmont Class of 1975 will hold a reunion on Oct. 8 at Boston’s Bistro from 8 p.m. to midnight with a 70’s Alumni meet and greet. Cloud Park Clean-Up Day is July 31

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Cloud Park Community Pride Clean-Up Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31. Lunch will be provided at noon for those who volunteer and event t-shirts will be provided to the first 30 volunteers. The Community Pride Cleanup Supply Trailer will be supplied by The Montgomery County Solid Waste District.
