Huber Heights Police to host National Night Out

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Police Division will hold its annual National Night Out, America’s Night out against Crime, on Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Wayne High School. Admission is free and there will be door prizes.

The mission of National Night Out is:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  • Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

There will be family fun including inflatables, National Guard Obstacle Course, food vendors, and dunk a cop. There will also be demonstrations by the Huber Heights Police K-9 dog and the Wayne High School band and Warriorettes.

Special guests will include:

  • Huber Heights police personnel and vehicles
  • SWAT
  • Fire department personnel and vehicles
  • CareFlight (weather dependent)
  • Cruise in
  • 97.3 Oldies radion station
  • Local health and safety organizations
