HUBER HEIGHTS — The Class of 1986, celebrating its 30th reunion this summer, has established a scholarship fund and recently granted its first scholarship to Katrina Coleman.
Coleman is a senior at Wayne High School and plans to attend University of Dayton and major in Industrial Engineering. Coleman was selected from 29 applications based on her strong community service and work experience while achieving academic success during her high school years.
The Wayne High School Class of 1986 established a Scholarship Fund in 2014 in order to provide a scholarship to an outstanding Senior in need. The first scholarship from this fund will be given to a 2016 graduate to commemorate the Class of 1986’s 30 Year Reunion. A private donor will match the total annual donation each year up to $5,000. For more information about the reunion or Scholarship Fund, please email Nick Stathopoulos at email@example.com. The Class of 1986 has a Facebook Group – “Wayne Warriors Class of 1986” and an event page for the 30 Year Reunion – “Wayne Class of 1986. 30th Year reunion”
