HUBER HEIGHTS — Two men are in custody and facing charges after leading Huber Heights Police on a chase early Wednesday morning. Both men were arrested after fleeing on foot at the end of the chase.
Nathan Shemar Bush, III, 19, is charged with failure to comply, a third degree felony, and currently in the Montgomery County Jail. Jail records indicate that Bush is also being held on two probation violations on burglary cases and two detainers for other counties.
Randy Javarr Heard, 24, was charged with obstructing official business, a second degree misdemeanor. He is also being held on two probation violation charges out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court according to jail record.
The chase began when an officer attempted to stop the vehicle near Needmore and Wagner Ford Roads for a traffic violation. The driver then fled west on Needmore Road, got on I-75 North before exiting the interstate at the Benchwood/Wyse Road exit.
He then turned left and continued west to Dixie Drive where he turned south into Harrison Township. He then turned onto Jewelstone Drive where both men attempted to flee on foot. Officers from several jurisdictions responded to the area before the men were apprehended.
The chase by Huber Heights Police is the third since March 17.
