HUBER HEIGHTS – DaVita Kidney Care, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. and a leading provider of kidney care services announced the opening of a new dialysis center located at 7769 Old Country Court, Huber Heights, OH 45424.

The new center will have 12 dialysis stations and will dialyze patients on a Monday Wednesday and Friday schedule with the possibility of expanded treatment shifts or days. The center could serve as many as 72 patients upon maximum capacity. The center also offers training for peritoneal dialysis, a treatment option that can be performed at home.

Kidney failure, also known as end stage renal disease (ESRD), is a fatal condition unless a kidney transplant is available or a patient undergoes dialysis, in which a machine filters toxins and fluids from the blood outside the body. In-center dialysis patients are treated four hours a day, three times a week.

City officials and joined employees of the clinic in a ribbon cutting last week.
