Rotary Club to host Fish Fry/Monte Carlo Night
HUBER HEIGHTS — This Saturday, March 5, is the Huber Heights Rotary Club Fish Fry/ Monte Carlo from 6-11 p.m. at the Huber Heights Athletic Foundation. It is one of the clubs main fundraising events to support donation request and sponsorships within the community, region and international. One of the clubs main donations is to the Christmas Kids where this past year gifts were given to over 90 children in Huber Heights Community. Please come out and join the Huber Heights Rotary Club for a community evening of fun, food and prizes. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Republican Women’s Club to meet
HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Republican Women’s Club will hold its March monthly meeting on Friday, March 11 at the Sweet Home Family Restaurant, 4480 Powell Rd. in Huber Heights.
This month’s meeting begins at noon and is open to the public. It will feature a Candidate “Meet and Greet” with a number of 2016 Primary Election candidates or their representatives invited to speak and answer questions with regard to their elective offices. This year’s Ohio Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15 with early and absentee voting already in progress.
Lunch will be available for purchase from the restaurant’s daily luncheon menu. Seating space in the private meeting room is limited so reservations are recommended and can be made by contacting Jane Booten at 233-0833 by Tuesday, March 8.
Church to sponsor mobile food pantry
HUBER HEIGHTS — Do you know someone that struggles to get food for their family? With God’s Grace “Mobile Food Pantry” we will be passing out 125 bags on April 16, 2016 at Onelove Church on 4585 Chambersburg Rd. Huber Heights, Ohio 45424. HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, March 14, 2016 at or about 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The Huber Heights City Hall is located at 6131 Taylorsville Road.
Lenten schedule for Faith Church
HUBER HEIGHTS — Faith Presbyterian Church will be presenting a Lenten study every Wednesday for the next four weeks. There will be a soup supper at 6 p.m. followed by the study with the theme “God’s Abundant Table” The study will be completed on Wed., March 23. Summer Aerospace Camp registration now open
Registration for four affordable and exciting summer aerospace camps is now open at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Campers who have completed grades 4-8 will be able to learn about a variety of topics through hands-on activities that incorporate history, science and math concepts, as well as team-building skills. Air Force Muesum building to open June 8
WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force’s new $40.8 million fourth building including aircraft such as SAM 26000 (Air Force One) and the only remaining XB-70 Valkyrie, will open to the public on June 8, 2016. The 224,000 square foot building, which was privately financed by the Air Force Museum Foundation, will house more than 70 aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles in four new galleries – Presidential, Research and Development, Space and Global Reach, along with three science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) Learning Nodes. Kiser High School Almuni Meetings
HUBER HEIGHTS — Kiser High School alumni meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except November and December) at the American Legion Post 200 which is at 5046 Nebraska Avenue, Huber Heights.
