HUBER HEIGHTS — Ward 5 Councilmember Tracy Dudley has resigned from the Huber Heights City Council.
Dudley submitted a letter to Clerk of Council Anthony Rodgers Monday evening and said it was effective immediately. No reason for her resignation was cited in the letter.
“I wish you, the constituents of Ward 5 and residents throughout the City of Huber Heights the best of luck in the future,” Dudley wrote.
In a press release, Rodgers said that the City Council is seeking qualified applicants to fill the vacancy. Applicants must be qualified electors who have resided in Huber Heights and Ward 5 for at least one year prior to their appointment. Council is responsible for interviewing, screening, and appointing a new council member to replace Dudley, whose term expires at the end of 2017.
Those interested in the vacancy are asked to submit a cover letter and resume to the Huber Heights Clerk of Council no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016. Materials can be dropped off at City Hall or mailed to the address below:

Potential applicants may use the city’s Ward Locator on the city’s website at www.hhoh.org to determine if they are residents of Ward 5.
