HUBER HEIGHTS — Patrons flocked to Huber Heights’ newest restaurant Tuesday morning as the Panera Bread on Old Troy Pike opened for business.
“We are so excited to be open here in Huber Heights today,” said Jessica Cavaliere, Regional Director of Marketing for Covelli Enterprises. “We had to wait a couple of months getting ready and today is the day and we are so happy to be here.”
Covelli Enterprises is the Dublin-based franchisee that owns the store in Huber Heights, Covelli’s first in the Dayton market.
The restaurant teemed with the buzz of customers Tuesday morning.
“This seems to be the spot to be at today,” said Cavaliere. “We are excited that the community has definitely responded to our being here.”
The restaurant is offering grand-opening specials through Thursday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19-20, customers who purchase a You-Pick-Two will receive a $5 gift card. On Thursday, the restaurant will offer half-off breakfast sandwiches and egg souffles.
The restaurant has selected Every Warrior Plays (EWP) as it’s community non-profit partner. EWP is a charity that helps raise funds to lower the pay to participate fees in the Huber Heights City Schools for student athletes in all sports.
The store will have Operation Donation canisters at each register and all funds received in January will go to EWP. Additionally, for every stickered $5 gift card redeemed at the Huber Heights restaurant between Jan. 19 and Feb. 2 Panera will donate $1 to Every Warrior Plays.
“We want to support our community and are grateful for our customers,” said Jessica Cavaliere, Regional Marketing Director for Covelli Enterprises. “We know we wouldn’t be successful without them so we like to give back as much as possible.”
Cavaliere said that a ribbon cutting with the Huber Heights Chamber of Commerce is tentatively set for February 4. A firm date and time will be announced in the near future.
Panera Bread is located at 8104 Old Troy Pike.
