Faith Women promote Project Linus
HUBER HEIGHTS — A group of women at Faith Presbyterian Church meets every Wednesday morning to work on Project Linus. This is an organization that provides handmade quilts and blankets to children in distress, whether due to illness, a trauma of some sort, or a natural disaster. The blankets are distributed through hospitals and other agencies by nurses, social workers, and others. Over four million blankets have been distributed through this wonderful mission.
Since this group began under the leadership of Cindi Adams, in 2014, they have donated 50 quilts and blankets. Everyone is welcome regardless of sewing skills. The meeting at Faith Church is every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..
The church is located at 5555 Chambersburg Road. The Pastor is Rev. Maggie Gillespie and the phone number is 233-0873.
