HH Council Candidate Forum is Oct. 7
HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Council Candidate Forum, conducted by the League of Women Voters, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Weisenborn Jr. High School Cafetorium, located at 6061 Old Troy Pike.
Faith Women promote Project Linus
HUBER HEIGHTS — A group of women at Faith Presbyterian Church meet every Wednesday morning to work on Project Linus. This is an organization that provides handmade quilts and blankets to children in distress, whether due to illness, a trauma of some sort, or a natural disaster. The blankets are distributed through hospitals and other agencies by nurses, social workers, and others. Over four million blankets have been distributed through this wonderful mission.
Since this group began under the leadership of Cindi Adams, in 2014, they have donated 50 quilts and blankets. Everyone is welcome regardless of sewing skills.. The meeting at Faith Church is every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..

HHAF Craft Fair scheduled
HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation announces its craft fair will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Nov. 10-12. Doors will be open for vendors to promote and sell thier products from noon to 8 p.m. each of those days.
There is a booth rental charge per booth. All crafters and vendors, independent contractors and small business owners are invited to participate.

Friday Night Dinner slated
BUTLER TOWNSHIP — Marian Council K of C 3754 Friday Night Dinner of Fellowship will be held on Friday Oct. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 5 p.m. The menu will be Meat Loaf (Wheat free – Gluten Free) with mashed potatoes, fried fish and french fries, along with sides including salad, cole slaw and applesauce. Cost is $7/adult, $4 /12 & Under, and $20/family. Desserts are 50 cents while they last.

Bazaar and Bake Sale set
CLAYTON — The Disciples Women’s Ministries of United Christian Church, 8611 Hoke Road in Clayton, is having their annual Bazaar and Bake Sale on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Many vendors will be set up inside the church with a wide variety of products, gift items, hand-made jewelry, knitted items of all kinds, wellness products, home and holiday decorations, etc. There will be a light lunch available for purchase after 11 am.
