Did you know this is the weekend for the long awaited Marigold Festival?
Don’t forget to bring the kids out to the Eichelburger Amphitheater for a full day of fun on Saturday. There will be entertainment on stage all day with music and singing. Many food vendors will be available to satisfy whatever you may want to eat.
You won’t want to miss the games for kids, shopping for Mom and Dad with opportunity for conversation with friends. Our friend Buch will be the emcee for the day and you all know how entertaining he can be!
Did you know on Saturday, Sept. 26 over 100 national parks will waive their entrance fees for everyone?
Savings could be up to $20 per person. This is in honor of National Public Lands Day. As a bonus, all fourth-graders and their families can get a pass for a year to use at national parks. Use is good through Aug. 31, 2016 and even good on holidays. The cost for this annual pass is $80 so if you plan to visit one of the 2,000 national parks, and have a fourth grader, you will want to apply for one of these free passes. For your information, children 15 and younger are not charged a fee and all active duty military and their families are offered free admission at many of the parks. Did you know our Wayne Warriors football team narrowly escaped with a win on nationally televised ESPN-U?
So very proud of our team but they sure gave me some nervous moments that last quarter! For you football fans, this is going to be a fun season because this team really looks good!
Did you know the Huber Heights library will have a LEGO Storytime on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m.?
Immediately following the story, the kids can build a LEGO creation for display in the library. All the LEGOS will be provided. Bring your “future engineer” to build their first creation. If they enjoy it, they can return in October for another opportunity to show their skill.
