Huber Heights woman killed in I-75 accident

DAYTON — A Huber Heights woman has been killed in an accident on I-75 Southbound that occurred early Thursday morning. Christina Tester, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison Township Fire Department. The Montgomery County Coroner was also called to the scene.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday when a Dodge Caravan driving northbound on I-75 lost its left front tire. The tire went over the dividing wall and into the southbound lanes of traffic.

The tire first struck a van being driven by a 52-year old male before continuing on to strike the windshield of the vehicle being driven by Tester.

Traffic was snarled until mid-morning while members of the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit investigated the accident which remains under investigation.
