Wayne bowling teams beat Fairmont

KETTERING — Two days after suffering a loss to the Firebirds the Wayne Varsity Boys Bowling Team posted a 2466 to 2358 road victory Wednesday over Fairmont.

Brandon Beck was the leading scorer for the Warriors with games of 232 and 286 for a 518 series. Sean Martin II finished with games of 213 and 211 (424) and Bryan Bir rolled games of 196 and 218 (414).

Top scorers for Fairmont were Paul Lyons (453), Joe Roudebush (422) and Hunter Schlegel (407).

Wayne’s two Baker Games of 177 and 244 bested Fairmont’s effort of 180 and 183.

The Wayne Varsity Girls also scored a 2369 to 2284 victory over Fairmont. Ryleigh Crouse rolled games of 173 and 243 (416) and Sky Edwards rolled games of 176 and 183 for a 359.

Skylynn Siens paced Fairmont with games of 203 and 204 for a 407 series.

On Monday Fairmont beat Wayne 2672 to 2440. Patrick Schwartz led Wayne with games of 207 and 247 (454) followed by Trevor Yost with games of 230 and 190 (420) and Noah Kunkle with games of 192 and 217 (409).

Fairmont was led by Paul Lyons with games of 259 and 289 (548), Trent Paulick with games of 225 and 288 (513), Hunter Schlegel 236 and 211 (447), Gabe Gibson 204 and 201 (405) and Joe Roudebush 226 and 177 (403).

Wayne had a higher Baker Games total of 424 to Fairmont’s 356 but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Firebirds regular game scoring.

The Wayne Boys Junior Varsity also came up short on Monday, falling to the Firebirds 1871 to 1536. Elijah Duggar led the way with games of 158 and 146 for a 304 series followed by Kyran Cowen with a 144 and 157 for a 301 series.

The Wayne Girls Varsity scored a 2276 to 2199 victory over Fairmont. Leading the way was Shelbi Craft with games of 224 and 193 for a 417 series and Ryleigh Crouse with games of 192 and 212 for a 405 series.

Skylynn Siens paced Fairmont with games of 204 and 237 for a 441 series.

The JV Girls came up short Monday against Fairmont, 1655 to 1573. Morgan Atkinson led the team with games of 159 and 165 for 324.
