Western Ohio Basketball Camp offered

WEST MILTON — The only 5 day, full day Basketball Camp in Western Ohio will be held June 27 – July 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Milton-Union High School for boys entering the third through ninth grades in the fall. Each player gets a basketball and camp T-shirt. Trophies will be awarded for 5 on 5 Champions, 3 on 3 Champions, Free Throw and Hot Shot Champions for each grade, and Camp All-Stars. Every Warrior Plays to host 3rd Annual 5K

HUBER HEIGHTS – Every Warrior Plays will hold its 3rd Annual 5k Walk/Run on Saturday, July 23 at Wayne High School beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $20 for entrants 18 years old and up, $15 for those 10-17. Those nine years old and under are free. After July 20 registration, including same-day registration, will be $25. Evnt t-shirts have been upgraded to a Dri-fit material without an increase in fees. Matt Light Football Camp

GREENVILLE – The 23rd annual Matt Light Football Camp will be held June 13-14 at Greenville’s Harmon Field. The camp is free to attend but has a limit of 200 campers. The purpose of the camp is to provide participants the opportunity to learn and improve their football skills. The camp is designed to meet each camper’s needs at a particular position. Under the guidance of several high school coaches, the campers will learn about Pride, Discipline, Attitude, and Team Play. Nominees sought for 2017 Northmont Baseball Hall of Fame

CLAYTON — Northmont Baseball is seeking nominations for the NHS Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF) for 2017. This award is to honor people and teams who have made outstanding contributions in NHS Baseball. Qualifications are that the nominee be a former player, coach or associate of NHS baseball. Players must be out of high school for a minimum of 10 years and coaches must have coached in the Northmont system at least 10 years. Cutoff for the 2017 nominations is June 1, 2016. Please note, the HOF winners for 2016 have been selected and will be announced in the Englewood Independent prior to the presentations at the First Pitch Banquet in March. The committee maintains previously submitted nominees which will be considered each subsequent year, along with new nominations received.
