HUBER HEIGHTS – Spring brings thoughts of baseball, and the Brick City Blast has kicked its Blast Gives Back program.

Blast Gives Back is intended to provide community service as a way of thanking the Huber Heights community for its support over the years.

Three teams provided activities at The Laurels of Huber Heights. The 14U team had a Bingo Night, the 11U team made sun-catcher shamrocks on Craft Night on St. Patrick’s Day, and the 12U team held a game night.

On Saturday, April 2, the 14U team, along with their parents and siblings, volunteered at the Dayton Honor Flight at 3 a.m. to assist veterans as they leave Dayton for Washington, D.C.

In June, teams will be working with adults at United Rehabilitation Services on June 9 and on June 4 the 14U team will be a ‘buddy team’ for the Challenger Team out of Fairborn.
