GREENVILLE — The Lady Warriors dominated host Greenville on Monday 67-23 allowing the hosts no more than seven points in any quarter, buiilding a 46-9 halftime advantage.

Shai McGruder was 13 of 19 from the field and recorded a double double with 26 points and 11 rebounds in only three quarters of play. Destiny Bohanon added 15 points, four assists, and two steals.

Maya Dunson again played what Coach Sonya Miller called “an all around balanced game” adding 10 rebounds and six points while Mali Morgan-Elliott “was solid in the middle,” according to Miller, adding eight points and seven rebounds. Shenell Parker recorded eight points and hit three of four attempts from the field.

“Our defensive intensity was more in line with the direction of the culture we are establishing,” Miller said. “It allowed me the opportunity to rest our starters the final quarter of the game with three big games on tap this week. Everyone played and contributed, which is always a good way to start a busy week as we look forward to traveling to Trotwood on Wednesday… This was a great team win!”

Wayne travels to Trotwood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and hosts Beavercreek at 1 p.m. on Saturday for their first conference game.
