Undefeated and GWOC Central champs


The Wayne football team celebrated a Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division championship after defeating Centerville Friday night at home 56-17. The squad completed an undefeated regular season, marking the third time in the history of Wayne for this accomplishment, previously accomplished in 1987 and 1989. The Warriors (10-0) also finished the Division I Associated Press football poll as the state runner up behind Lakewood St. Edward (9-1). In the CBS MaxPreps Top 150 Computer Football Ratings for Nov. 2, Wayne was ranked 11th. Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas was top ranked while St. Edward is ranked fifth.
