Community support needed for half marathon and 5K

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights YMCA will host its Fourth annual Heights Half Marathon and 5K race on Saturday, June 13. The community is encouraged to get involved by lining the course and cheering over 300 runners to the finish line. Show your support for your friends, neighbors, and community by cheering from your lawn or register as a cheering team for a chance to win a pool party pass.

The half marathon will begin at 7 a.m. and the 5K race will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The course begins and ends at the YMCA, however, the route runs through neighborhoods west of the YMCA off of Shull to Carriage Trails Parkway and back. Please be advised some roads will be blocked off during the race starting at 6 a.m. Huber Heights police and volunteers will direct traffic.

For information on affected roads, please visit www.theheightshalf.com to view the race map.
