Sales tax holiday is Aug. 7-9

Did you know the Ohio Department of Taxation announced the state’s FIRST EVER sales tax holiday?

Everyone in Ohio purchasing clothing under $75 (for each item) or school supplies under $20 will not pay sales tax on their purchases. This sales tax holiday is set by law and all vendors must comply from August 7-9. Keep these dates in mind and plan to do your school shopping that weekend if you want to avoid having to pay any sales tax on your purchases that meet the criteria. This will be very helpful when purchasing school clothing and supplies.

I am pleased to report to you that so far the Music Center has a profit, even though much of the expense was a one time expense for the season. Nevertheless, it is looking good to date. If you have not attended any of the concerts, I encourage you to take a look at the schedule and plan to go. I have heard so many compliments from attendees and hope most of our residents will experience this new venue for entertainment.
