Stonehurst water tower inspected and cleaned by two divers

Did you know Wayne High School is having their Homecoming Parade Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.?

The parade route starts at the Huber Centre parking area, across the street from St. Peter and ends at Wayne High School. Please bring the family out and sit along the parade route. We need to cheer on our Wayne Warriors, Warriorettes and Band so they know the community supports them. The homecoming game will be held on Friday, September 18. GO WAYNE!

Did you know all water towers are inspected on a regular basis?

For your information, the inside of the Stonehurst water tower was inspected and cleaned by two divers while it was full of water. I did not know that was how they did it, but ours passed inspection. The smaller water tower at Centerpoint 70 will be next in line for inspection and cleaning. I thought you might find it one more interesting detail your city staff takes care of to keep our city safe.

Did you know Half Time USA Band Festival will be Saturday, Sept. 12 a 6:30 p.m.?

Tickets can be purchased at Wayne Sporting Goods or Wayne High School. I do not have the list of bands participating this year, but I do know you will not be disappointed because they always have a great show for the community. I try to give you all advance notice so you can put the date on your calendar.

Did you know the Marigold Festival is coming soon and that is another event you don’t want to miss?

Mark your calendar for Sept.12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. at the Eichelberger Amphitheater. I understand there will be more vendors than last year that have requested to come set up a booth. I know for sure there will be lots of yummy food choices. Many folks start their Christmas shopping because there are so many unique and quality items displayed in the booths. I hope to see you there and don’t forget to stop and chat if have time.
