From the A.D.’s desk: a story?

First football game begins at 6 p.m.

Jay Minton - Wayne HS Athletics Director

I heard something really great this past weekend and it was about creating your own personal story. It is sad, but in today’s world, so many people are private and do not want to share their story and some stories would be great for our young people to hear.

This is another way that athletics provides such a great opportunity to develop a great story. We need to challenge our young people to begin to develop their story and many of the foundations of the development will come from their experiences in athletics.

Remember, a story is a narrative, either true or fictitious, designed to interest, amuse, or instruct the hearer or reader. How about you, do you have a great story to share or have you even developed a story yet? It truly makes us all think about what our story would be if we could tell it.

It is that time of year! Boys and Girls Soccer open up this Saturday night at home vs. Xenia. Everyone is in full gear and ready to get things rolling.

We will have a football scrimmage this Friday night at 7 p.m. here at home. We are going against Upper Arlington. Admission is free, so come out to see a preview of the 2015 Warriors.

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! OUR FIRST GAME ON AUG. 28 WILL NOW BEGIN AT 6 PM. YES, WE WILL BE THE FIRST GAME. Hopefully we will have another great story to share…
