Staff Report

WASHINGTON, TWP. — Dayton Sports Medicine Institute, a part of Kettering Health Network, has partnered with the YMCA of Greater Dayton to offer athletic training services to the Kleptz-Englewood, Preble, Huber Heights and West Carrollton YMCA facilities.

Dayton Sports Medicine Institute athletic trainers will provide medical support and athletic training coverage to all YMCA members and staff who suffer from musculoskeletal injuries. Athletic trainers will offer injured members and staff any assistance they need to recover from their injuries and return to their daily activities.

“Our new sports medicine model that we will implement at the YMCAs will promote the same concepts to members and staff that athletes get in the high school, college, and professional setting,” says Lori Oda, manager of Dayton Sports Medicine Institute. “The athletic trainer will provide evaluation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and a specific return-to-work or activity program.”

Dayton Sports Medicine Institute’s staff of state licensed and nationally certified athletic trainers provides coverage in all realms of the sports world. From youth sports to professional athletes and even public service employees, Dayton Sports Medicine Institute provides some of the most comprehensive care in the country.
