HUBER HEIGHTS — The following is information from the Huber Heights City Schools:

PSAT information

Any junior interested in taking the PSAT should pick up a registration form from your intervention teacher. The cost of the test is $15 and the deadline to register is September 20th. The test will be given on Wednesday, October 11th. Additional registration forms are in Mrs. McCullough office.

Homecoming Parade information

Wayne High School Student Council is beginning to prepare for the 2017 Homecoming Parade and is looking for clubs or groups to walk in the parade. This has become an annual event and a great way to bring the school and community together. We look forward to hearing back from you. The information for the parade is listed below.

When: Wednesday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m.

Rain Day is set for Thursday September 28th

We would love to have our elementary schools, middle school band, committee groups, restaurants, businesses, school clubs, sports teams, and anyone else who is interested in participating.

Line up for the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. It will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. at the Huber Center parking area across the street from St.Peter. The Parade route will start at the center’s exit and end at Wayne High School.

Construction Career Expo

Any SENIOR student who is interested in attending the 12th Annual Construction Career Expo

on October 3, 2017, please see Mrs. Gore in B113 for more information.

  • Speak with representatives of apprenticeship training programs affiliated with the Miami Valley Building Trades to learn of future career opportunities in the construction industry;
  • Hear how apprenticeship programs provide career pathways for young men and women transitioning into the workforce, with in class and on the job training;
  • Learn of in class instruction which is provided at NO COST to the apprentice who often earns college credits, along with on the job training, where the apprentice receives a competitive wage and benefit package.
