Did you know the Huber Heights library has a class to help you learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media?

Laptops will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. The class is scheduled for Friday July 17 from 2-4 p.m. You are asked to register in advance at the library.

Did you know if you plan a trip to Kings Island you can get coupons at City Hall for reduced price admission?

Coupons are available for July 3 to Aug. 23, Aug. 28-30 and Sept. 4-7. I understand many families are having “Staycations” this year and a trip to Kings Island can be a very special day for the kids. No limit to the number of coupons so stop by and save some money on your trip to Kings Island.

Did you know the Cloud Park Community Pride Clean-Up Day is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.?

Here is an opportunity for you to volunteer some of your time for a good cause. Bring the kids, because they can help too. It will be a good teaching time for the kids to learn the importance of cleaning up after yourself so there will not be so much left behind for others to clean up.

Montgomery County will provide trash bags and equipment but you should bring gloves to wear. Thank you in advance for all who will come help. Thomas Cloud Park is one enjoyed by many in the county. We want to be sure it stays looking it’s best at all times and you can help. Thank you for your consideration.

Did you know you will find over 100 photos of the Star Spangled Heights parade on the City web site?

If you attended the parade, or were in it, chances are there will be a picture of you or your family there. Feel free to identify yourself if you see your picture. Even if you do not find a picture of yourself, it is fun to look through them and relive the day. You sure can tell how much EVERYONE enjoyed the parade – young and old alike! I found them by going to hhoh.org, clicked on the community calendar then scrolled down to the Facebook page on the bottom left. Once on the Facebook page keep scrolling down until you see a photo of young marines and our parade grand marshall with the number 124 on the last picture. I did not find all the pictures when I went directly to Facebook and it’s worth the extra click to get to these amazing photos. Enjoy!
