HUBER HEIGHTS — It’s time to celebrate National Night Out, a community oriented event that will be held on Tuesday Aug. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. At this event the Huber Heights Police, the Huber Heights Fire, and the city of Huber Heights Public Works Divisions spend time and give thanks to the members of this community.

This year, National Night Out will be celebrated at different locations within the city. For those of you who live in the southern area of the city, National Night Out will be at Wright Brothers Elementary, located at 5758 Harshmanville Rd. For those of who live in the central part of the city, the location will be at Monticello Elementary, located at 6523 Alter Rd. And lastly, for those of you who live in the northern part of the city, National Night Out will be at Charles Huber Elementary, located at 8895 Emeraldgate Dr.

People from the community, and members of your local Neighborhood Watch programs, will be helping to promote this event. The concept is to have community interaction, by having a “block party” at the designated locations. Everybody is encouraged to attend, to have fun and spend time with each other as fellow community members. The Police, the Fire, and the Public Works Divisions will come to each location at different scheduled times, to spend time and interact with all of you, at the designated locations in your neighborhoods.

Mark your calendars for Aug. 4, bring your children and other family members, and spend time with fellow neighbors and the Emergency Services Personnel that serve you.
