HUBER HEIGHTS – In our schools, planning for the future doesn’t begin with senior year. From the moment students enter kindergarten, we focus our efforts on ensuring they graduate career-ready. This means they don’t just gain the knowledge and skills that are necessary for success after graduation—skills such as math, reading, and technology. They also have access to the tools, resources, and experiences they need to build a path to the careers of their choice.
To celebrate all members of the Class of 2016 who developed a successful plan for their future, Wayne High School hosted a College and Career Signing Day on May 2. All seniors were encouraged to wear something that represented the career path of their choice—whether that involves continuing their schooling, joining the armed forces, or directly entering the workforce. Students were recognized during lunch, invited to take selfies at a selfie station, and encouraged post their photos with the hashtags #SigningDay, #CareerReady, #WayneWarriors, and #ReachHigher.
We are proud of our seniors. They have worked hard during the past 12 years to prepare for this moment. With their diplomas in hand, these proud Warriors are ready to take on the world. We wish all of the Class of 2016 success in pursuing their dreams!
