HUBER HEIGHTS – It was an exciting night at the Huber Heights Foundation Annual Huber Heights Fire vs. Police Volleyball game and for the first time, the YMCA Senior Warriors challenged the two public service departments to a game. Unfortunately, the police and fire departments didn’t practice with the beach ball as the Senior Warriors were able to over-take the combined team and won both their games.

It was an exciting game as the two city departments were tied 1 – 1 at the end of the evening which called for a play-off. The Huber Heights Police walked away with the coveted gold cup trophy.

The Wayne High School Pep Band performed before during the game and between games, The Dayton Dragons’ Heater and the State Farm Good Neigh Bear enjoyed entertaining the crowd and photos with the kids of all ages.

Scholarships were presented to Joshua Miller for the DeBrosse Family scholarship, Bryce Haney received the Ed Haywood Scholarship and Danielle Reboulet was presented the Huber Heights Foundation Scholarship.

Funds raised at this event support the Huber Heights Foundation scholarships, community grants and education grants. The Huber Heights Foundation is a non-profit organization under the Dayton Foundation.
