HUBER HEIGHTS — The Huber Heights Police Divsion had a unique opportunity to host a group of Brazilian diplomats this week as part of a professional exchange program with the U.S. State Department.

The International Visitor Leadership Program uses short-term visits to the United States with current and emerging foreign leaders to experience America first hand and cultivate relationships with their American counterparts.

Officer Nick Lambert and his wife, Teanna, answered questions on topics ranging from community policing, police interaction with youth, and a police officer’s work life versus home life. The diplomats received a tour of the police department.

Two translators and a local coordinator from Wright State University’s Center for International Education also attended the tour.
