HUBER HEIGHTS — Diners in Huber Heights will soon have another option when the Panera Bread holds its grand opening celebration on January 19 beginning at 6 a.m. The restaurant, which will be located at 8104 Old Troy Pike, is the first Panera Bread opened in the Dayton market by Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera restaurants in the United States.
The restaurant will feature three days of grand opening festivities with a number of special offers. Panera travel coffee mugs will be given to the first 500 customers who make a purchase, and the mugs will include free refills for two weeks.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19-20, customers who purchase a You-Pick-Two will receive a $5 gift card. On Thursday, the restaurant will offer half-off breakfast sandwiches and egg souffles.
The restaurant has selected Every Warrior Plays (EWP) as it’s community non-profit partner. EWP is a charity that helps raise funds to lower the pay to participate fees in the Huber Heights City Schools for student athletes in all sports.
Huber Heights City Schools received a donation of $40,000 from the Panera Bread restaurant. Panera will also offer two other ways to raise funds for EWP.
The store will have Operation Donation canisters at each register and all funds received in January will go to EWP. Additionally, for every $5 gift card redeemed between Jan. 19 and Feb. 2 Panera will donate $1 to Every Warrior Plays.
A Covelli Enterprises spokesperson said that being involved in the community is important.
“We want to support our community and are grateful for our customers,” said Jessica Cavaliere, Regional Marketing Director for Covelli Enterprises. “We know we wouldn’t be successful without them so we like to give back as much as possible.”
