HUBER HEIGHTS — Bill and Bonnie (Studabaker) Scheidel celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30, 2015 in Panama City Beach, Fla. They were married in 1975 at Ansonia First Church of God in Ansonia.

Bonnie is originally from Greenville and Bill is originally from Louisville, Ky. After Bill finished his military service with the United States Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, he decided to stay in the Dayton area and met Bonnie at the WDRK radio station in Greenville. After getting married, they moved to Huber Heights and have lived there ever since.

They are the proud parents of Lisa (Jason) Ryan of Columbus, Jill (Bill) Nold of Louisville, Ky., and Greg (Chelsea) Scheidel of Troy. They have four grandchildren: Jackson and Lucas Ryan, and Mallory and William Nold. They also have a lively Jack Russell Terrier named Abby that they love to take for walks and spoil rotten.

Bill is a retired agent for Nationwide Insurance and has gotten back to what he loves and where it all began with Bonnie – the radio. He is currently a news writer for WHIO Radio and will also fill in on-air when needed. Bill’s voice can be heard on commercials, as well as at the USAF Museum’s “The History of the Air Force” recording upon entering. Bonnie is a retired homemaker and currently works as a medical receptionist at Southwest Ohio ENT Specialists and has for the past 15 years. She enjoys gardening and relaxing on the back patio most evenings.

On weekends, Bill and Bonnie love to spend time with their grandchildren, family, and friends. They enjoy beach vacations and water skiing at Lake Cumberland, Ky. They also enjoy reading, sporting events, and are avid Dayton Dragons and Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fans. Bonnie is an Ohio State Buckeyes fan and Bill a Louisville Cardinals fan. They are both active members of Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church and St. Peter Catholic Church in Huber Heights.
